Lately I have been noticing how girls in my Middle school are changing, or have changed. Not physically, but emotionally. Depression, self-doubt, insecurities continue to plague some girls. Why? My guess is because around the time of 13-16 the brain is developing in teenagers, it's a time when we started developinig relationships and emotions; stuff like that.
As my Health 8 teacher put it,
"Teenagers feel more strongly than adults or kids around this age because since they are growing, and their minds are developing, they'll be impacted more strongly on how they feel or how they react to certain situations...."
Makes sense, right?
Anyways, back to my topic,
I hear constantly how girls will put themselves or others down, calling themselves names, or just being insecure about daily things. It's truley heartbreaking because every girl is beutiful, every girl has worth and importance. Growing up in the LDS church, I have learned that we are all created in the image of God. So, why put yourself down? God, the almighty being, blah, is perfect beyond comprehension, much like him the teenage girls (Every girl, and woman) are beautiful beyond comprehension.
(Directed towards Girls here)
You are beautiful, you are Gods definition of perfect, so don't settle for any less or any more. you don't have to be apart of the "IT" crowd to know that you have worth in God's eyes, You are put on this earth for a reason, trials in our daily lives are something we learn to live with. Trials make us stronger, and remind of us the tender mercy's of the Lord. You aren't alone, and you never will be.
You were given the LIFE you have because you are strong enough to live it.
